I964 Dodge 1/2 Ton Short Box Pickup 340 V8 727 Auto
I'm listing this truck for a friend, however I know everything that went into building it. This something do you don't see very often. The truck was built from the ground up. The frond end is from a Dodge diplomat police car with T-bars and front disc brakes, which makes it handle like a dream. The interior is out of a 1969 Cougar with bucket seats and a floor shift that fits perfectly in the cab of the truck. All the guage were rebuilt and done in white. The drive train consists of a Pete Thompson 1968 340 with an 800 cfm Edelbrock carb and nicely built 727 torqueflite automatic. The cooling system is all fresh along with the brakes and exhaust. The wheels are 7X15 Kelsey-hays police full steel welded with 275-60 15 inch tires. The paint is fresh and the truck is not rusty. This is a California truck and has a clean clear California title. There is alot I haven't mentioned, so please feel free to call me at 619-698-5885. Thanks and good luck with your bid.
Up for your consideration is a very special car. This 65 Satellite has been hand built using only the finest parts, time and quality workmanship. The body was from the start, rust free and straight. It was stripped to metal, primed and painted in PPG Base/Clear and cut and rubbed the way it should be. The bumpers were rechromed in show quality condition. The grill and headlite bezels speak for themselves. As close to perfect as you can get. The suspension is all fresh with 4 new shocks and all new suspension parts. All new brakes were also installed with front discs and rear drums. Dual master cylinder and p-valve were also included in the kit. As for the drivetrain. A fresh 440 steel crank engine supplies the power with a set of nicely ported iron heads as well as a decent hyd. cam for good low end torque. We used a Edelbrock performer RPM intake and 800 CFM carb with inproved idle circuts for good clean street use, and coupled with 440 Magnum HP exhaust manifolds and two and a half inch head tubes into 3 inch flomasters get the exhaust done. A Mark Russo 727 Torqueflite with a 2600 RPM Hemi converter was used. As for the shifter. A custom setup from Hurst was used to give the appearance of a 4 speed . It uses a a direct rod style shifting unit as did the factory type floor shifter. That means NO burned up shift cables trying to route around hot exhaust tubes and no drifting shifts due to streched cables . You get the best of both worlds. The looks of a 4 speed, and the driveability of an automatic. The glass is all beautiful with the front windshield being NEW with a New gasket. Probably the nicest part of the car is the interior which is all new hand stiched in it's original double red colors with matching door panels, seats, carpet, and white headliner. The tires and wheels are period correct for 1965 with American Torquethrust D's and BFG/TA radials. It gives the car a great look. Please call with any questions you may have, as there is a ton I have not listed. 858-414-6972.
